VALERI CHIBIS - Soprano

Valeri Chibis, Moscow-born operatic soprano, began her music studies at the Mozart school of music in violin and piano. She graduated from the Moscow Academy of Choral Art as an opera singer and Moscow State Humanitarian University as a music industry manager. She also took choir conducting classes during her studies. Winner of international competitions, including those in Moscow, New York, and Tuscany, Valeriya made her debut as Tatiana in Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin" in 2017. 


In 2018, she performed the concert version of the opera in Provence, France, accompanied by pianist Sergey Iorov. Valeri also starred in the documentary film "Bitter Love," directed by Jerzy Sladkowski, premiered in 2020. Since moving to NYC in 2019, she leads concerts at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall, United Nations, Opera America Center, Naumburg Bandshell, and others, actively participating in international documentary film festivals worldwide.
